Susanne Schlador – Lavande de Bois

I started my business three years ago with the hopes of creating a college fund for my almost grown up family. Running my own business has given me the flexibility to work when I can and take breaks when necessary. I have lived with chronic illness and pain for over twenty years. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. What seemed like an answer has turned out to be a money pit and an adventure into the unknown. Part of that adventure has been creating products that meet my need for limiting and eliminating chemical exposure. My personal needs seem to be driving my product development. Our skin is the largest organ of our body; our personal care regime has the power to add toxins or aid in removing them. I choose the later. I went completely chemical free with my personal care regime two years ago and I’ve been creating aroma therapeutic solutions that nurture the whole person ever since.

I invite you to browse my webstore Lavande de Bois and find unique products intended to nurture a unique you. Please see my blog LavandedeBois.com for aroma and product information that may help guide you toward the unique products and aromas that will inspire you. Please contact me at susanne@lavandedebois.com should you have any questions.

I offer complimentary gift packaging on many gift sets. And I love putting together unique combinations that will create just the right expression of your thoughtfulness. Contact me by phone or email to discuss you gift giving needs.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Although I don't wish Lyme on ANYONE, I love that it's brought us Lavande de Bois! Thank you for your nurturing products.

That's too funny, because I came here to write that the best thing about MY day was talking to Ashley on the phone! I love the way that through this disease, the hardest thing that most of us will ever have to face, we have the opportunity to meet amazing, inspiring people that we would have never had the opportunity to meet.

I'm excited about your soaps Susanne- I have multiple chemical sensitivity too, and it's so hard to find fun mcs friendly finds like this!

I'm so grateful to have been introduced to all of these wonderful businesses and products created by fellow Lyme fighters! Talk about inspiration in action. Susanne, your soaps look lovely!

My good thing of the day: Today my best friend took the bus to my house to visit me. Her gift of a few hours of her time meant the world to me. Just seeing her brightened my day! It is the little things that keep us going.

Susanne's products are in the luxury class and I've enjoyed each that I've purchased. Susanne has been a friend for years so I know the meticulous care she puts into each item.

Susanne, keep up the wonderful work that you do! Love you much!

Susanne I love your story, your soaps are so pretty and I have to say that the best thing that happened today so far was my kids running out the door to school all calling back: "Love you mom!"

I'm loving hearing about the best thing that happened in everyone's day! And thanks you all for the wonderful compliments about my soap! I had a really super great day today. Went for a couple runs on the ski hill in Sun Valley, had an awesome dinner with my hubby. Tomorrow I'll be sharing soap with Sun Valley at the Papoose Club Holiday Bazaar. Should be fun.

I so love handmade soap and so does my husband. They're really the best and with a tight Lymie budget they're hard to afford. I'd be so great to win a bar. Your soaps look really nice and luxurious. Can't wait to try one.

I really love the ideas you've come up with, and the product you can provide for so many people who are so sensitive to other products. Way to go for taking your idea so far!! So many people are so very excited about your things!!!!

Your soaps look incredible!

The best thing that happened to me today was hearing my church's band perform Christmas songs at our first holiday service of the month. They had three women singing in unison, and it was one of the prettiest things I've heard in a long time.

I shared about the booth and giveaway on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/kimtrick).

Thanks for the opportunity to enter. :)
